I remember the first time I experienced imposter syndrome, after finishing my honours degree and embarking on the next step of post-graduate study. At the time I didn’t know it was a common experience, and thought it was unique to me. When I eventually came across the term it was a big relief to realise it was actually a ‘thing’ and that I was not alone in feeling like that.
This realisation, however, didn’t prevent the feelings from recurring – and if anyone has a cure, please let me know!
